  4. “My feeling on the workshop, which was designed for municipal officials, is that we wait and re-run it at the 2012 MMA Convention if we can get proper billing for it in the program this time and get better commitment from our own members to attend.  I don’t know how we could develop a stand-alone event that would draw municipal attendance.  But am open to ideas of others on this.  We just cannot ask these folks to have another dress rehearsal.” Mary Ann Hayes.

  11. Request for Assistance:  Community Connections Project for the Iris Network, serving individuals in Maine who are blind or have low vision would like to have someone from MCDA  to  present information on the topic of Town Planning at their monthly workshop as it related to Streetscapes projects and ADA accessibility.  They meet each month on the third Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon. Each meeting has been held at the Capitol Building in Augusta, Me. Sessions usually have between five and ten participants from around the state. The sessions will begin with an introduction of all people in the room and what each individual would like to learn about related to that session topic. The speaker presents, leaving time for any questions and most sessions are ended with a wrap-up. They would like us to make our presentation at their May 17, 2012 meeting. Is anyone interested in volunteering for this task?
